What Daily Up Stores

Daily Up stores account and profile information needed to provide the service, including your email address, Firebase authentication identifier, account role, settings, policy acceptance records, and related timestamps.

Daily Up also stores user-generated content that you voluntarily enter, including daily updates, task notes, blockers, learning entries, highlights, monthly goals, lock status, and related history records. These entries may include work-related notes entered by you.

Do not submit information you are not authorised to provide. If you use Daily Up for workplace tasks, keep entries general and avoid confidential, sensitive, proprietary, client-restricted, regulated, health, financial, legal, security-sensitive, or secret information.

Why We Use Your Data

Account and authentication data is used to create and secure your account, verify sign-in, enforce access controls, and support account recovery. Policy acceptance data is used to record that required signup terms were accepted.

User-generated content is used to provide the core Daily Up features: saving daily records, showing monthly history, reviewing learning, exporting account data, and helping you maintain a personal work-progress record. Operational records are used to protect the app from misuse, maintain reliability, and respond to privacy or support requests.

The core service is processed because it is necessary to provide the product you request. Optional support messages are processed so we can respond to you. We do not sell your daily updates.

Service Providers

Daily Up uses Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, database storage, and server infrastructure. If AI generation features are used, relevant prompt content may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate the requested output.

If you enable authenticator-app two-factor authentication, Firebase/Google processes the second-factor enrollment and verification data needed to secure sign-in.

Daily Up uses necessary authentication/session cookies and browser storage for account security, preferences, and keeping you signed in. The app does not currently use advertising cookies. Basic hosting, platform, or provider logs may be processed by infrastructure providers for security and reliability. Dedicated analytics or error-monitoring tools are not currently enabled unless disclosed in the app or this policy is updated.

Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active unless deletion is requested or the service requires shorter retention. User-generated content is retained until you delete it, delete your account, or request deletion. Security, audit, or operational records may be retained where needed for legal, abuse-prevention, or service-integrity reasons. You can request account or data deletion by emailing kane@mcilroysoftwaresolutions.co.uk.

Where technically available, signed-in users can export or delete account data through authenticated account endpoints. These actions require a verified account session so another user cannot request your data.

You can access, correct, export, or delete information using available in-app controls or by contacting the service owner at the email above.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for making sure the information you enter is appropriate for storage in Daily Up and does not breach your employer, client, or project confidentiality obligations.

Security

Daily Up uses reasonable security measures, including Firebase authentication, access controls, Firestore security rules, HTTPS, and session protections. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should not submit highly sensitive or unauthorised information.
